WEEK 6 ( Fertilizer, Survey and cleaning).

LOCATION: Farm stingless bee plot

INTRODUCTION: 

This week, we carried out the same task as last week which is cleaning the area and fertilizing, the fertilizer used is Christmas Island Rock Phosphates (CIRP) this fertilizer can improve the soil structure and reduce soil compaction. In addition, we swept the area filled with leaves and thrown into the disposal area.

OBJECTIVE: 

• To ensure that the area is always awake and protected from pests such as pigs.
• To ensure the area is always fertile and the trees grow quickly.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT:

• Wheelbarrow
• Glove
• Machete
• Boot 
• Leaf rake
• Fertilizer (CIRP)

CHALLENGE:

• Hot weather
• Not enough time
• Muddy area

ACTIVITIES:

7:00am: Exercise and check class attendance

8:00am: Next, Sung a national anthem, faithful insight UITM and planter's song.

8:30am: Take equipment, clean up the area, and add the items needed in the designated                       spot for planting new trees to the plot.

9:30am: Break and relaxing the body.

10:00am: Go back to the plot and remove weeds in the area around the plot and clean up the                  leaves.

10:30am: Finish field work and go on vacation.
